Public meetings, election dates and town-office closures. All meetings are open to the public; comment time is built into every Town Board agenda.

    The road foreman and Town Board members ride the system to set seasonal weight limits and prioritize the summer maintenance schedule.

    2026 General Election: what you need to know

    Polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on November 3 at the Hazelhurst Community Center. Bring a photo ID; same-day registration is available. We will publish absentee instructions and sample ballots in late September.

    Wake boat ordinance — enforcement reminder

    Ordinances 25-01 and 25-02 are in effect for the 2026 season. Wake-surf-style operation is restricted to specific zones with depth and shoreline distance requirements. The DNR is coordinating spot checks with the Town.

    Spring road weight limits in effect

    Posted weight limits will remain in place until the road foreman lifts them, typically late May. Heavy haulers — gravel, building materials, septic — should call (715) 356-5800 before scheduling deliveries.

    The Town of Hazelhurst is seeking a Treasurer. Part-time, training provided, two-year term. Applicants should be Hazelhurst electors with bookkeeping experience. Letter of interest to the clerk by May 30, 2026.
